a5c7b9f00b For seven years, Sydney Bristow believed she was working for a covert branch of the CIA, named SD-6. However, when she tells her fiance of her job, Arvin Sloane, head of SD-6 and an old family friend, has him murdered. With this life-shattering event, Sydney learns not only that SD-6 is a mercenary group of terrorists, but that her father, too, works for SD-6. Sydney then works with the CIAa double agent, trying to bring down SD-6 with her father, a second double. This is only the beginning of a path of betrayal, murder, lies, and disbelief. Sydney Bristow pushes through trials of love, learns the truth about her mother, loses a friend in an utter form of incredulity, pitfalls herself into months of torture and puzzlement, and is tormented with countless revelations to come. Sydney Bristow is an international spy recruited out of college, trained for espionage and self-defense. I am shocked that this show is still on the air! The writing is terrible. Always ripped-off, never anything new. The acting is mediocre, no great performances. The actors don't have much to work with but I'd think they could do better. The action scenes are poorly put together like a 70's kung-fu flick, no realistic sequencing and too much motion altering! After a few episodes I got sick of the outfits for Garner. In scenes were she needed to stay hidden, she wore neon colors and reflective studded clothes! It's less believable than James Bond folks. At least Bond was funny at times, Alias is a stinker! Alias is, without reservation, the best network series in years. It's packed with action, interesting characters and plots that will hold your attention from beginning to end.

Jennifer Garner ('Sydney') is everything a female double-agent should be: gorgeous, tough, intelligent and ready to handle any mission 'impossible'. Yet, she's not afraid to display her human side with wit, emotion and occasional anger. The CIA could use a few dozen agents like her … especially now!

In short, I like everything about 'Alias': always a great music soundtrack, movie-quality production values, excellent cinematography, engrossing stories, action and fun!
